Time zone and UTC offset in Azores
Azores follows the Atlantic/Azores time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC-1.
Standard time is in effect at the moment, and Azores does observe daylight saving time. The next change comes on Sunday, March 28, 2027 at 00:00: clocks go forward 1 hour, so at 00:00 the clock jumps to 01:00 and the offset becomes UTC+0. From that day the difference from Brasília is 3 hours ahead. The change after that is on Sunday, October 31, 2027 at 01:00.
Time difference between Brasília and Azores
To convert, take Brasília time and add 2 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Azores is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Azores is 10:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 22:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Azores is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 22:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
