Time zone and UTC offset in Athens
Athens follows the Europe/Athens time zone, abbreviated EET. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+2.
Standard time is in effect at the moment, and Athens does observe daylight saving time. The next change comes on Sunday, March 28, 2027 at 03:00: clocks go forward 1 hour, so at 03:00 the clock jumps to 04:00 and the offset becomes UTC+3. From that day the difference from Brasília is 6 hours ahead. The change after that is on Sunday, October 31, 2027 at 04:00.
Time difference between Brasília and Athens
To convert, take Brasília time and add 5 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Athens is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Athens is 07:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 19:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Athens is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 19:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.

Best time to call Athens from Brazil
Taking a 9:00 to 18:00 working day on both sides, the shared window runs from 09:00 to 13:00 in Brasília, which is 14:00 to 18:00 in Athens. That leaves 4 hours of overlap: enough for most meetings, but book early. Because Athens changes its clocks, this window shifts by one hour after the next change.
